HH Partners’ Markku Korvenmaa and Martin von Willebrand successfully represented the sellers in an arbitration procedure under the Finnish Central Chamber of Commerce’s Rules for Expedited Arbitration. The case involved a corporate acquisition where the parties disagreed on the payment of the purchase price and the interpretation of the sale and purchase agreement terms, particularly concerning the sellers’ liabilities. HH Partners’ M&A team had previously advised the sellers on the corporate transaction itself.
We acted as the legal counsel for our clients, being responsible for the strategic preparation and execution of the entire procedure. The expedited arbitration procedure allowed for a swift and cost-effective process. The arbitral tribunal dismissed the counterparty’s claims and rendered an award that was favourable to our clients in all respects.
The total value of the dispute was between EUR 1–10 million.
