Martin von Willebrand has a versatile experience on domestic and international assignments in technology, such as protection of IPRs and knowledge, financial technology regulation, data protection, buying and selling firms, open source, licensing and copyright. Further he advises many companies in their general business law needs.

His positions of trust include the Finnish IT Law Association (Secretary 2006-2008, Chairman 2009-2010), Chairman of Validos (2008-) and Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Center for Open Systems and Solutions (2014-2018, Board Member 2012-, Steering Group Member 2008-). He has authored a book on setting up an Internet-store and is co-author in books Verkkokauppaoikeus, i.e. E-Commerce Law, and JIT 2015 handbook. For example Chambers, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal and many other publications rate him among top technology and data protection practioners in Finland.

Prior to joining HH Partners in 2001, he worked as an associate at Heikki Haapaniemi Attorneys-at-law Ltd in 2000 and before that in contract handling at Radiolinja Oy, the first GSM-operator in the world.
