We successfully defended North-West Invest Oy’s trademarks in administrative cancellation proceedings

HH Partners’ Pauliina Rajala and Martin von Willebrand represented North-West Invest Oy by successfully defending the client’s two Finnish trademark registrations “Hallix, Kattaa Kaiken” and “HALLIX covers everything (figurative)” in two administrative revocation and invalidation procedures before the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.

The procedures were initiated by the counterparty. They claimed among others that the aforementioned trademarks created a likelihood of confusion to their two prior trademarks that allegedly had been established through use. In addition, the counterparty claimed that the client’s trademarks had been registered in bad faith. The Finnish Patent and Registration Office’s dismissed both revocation and invalidation applications. The decision is final.
