Open Technologies

Our Open Technologies practice is likely the largest in Finland. Our thorough understanding and experience of open collaboration and business models as well as open communities and technology helps us in advising our clients effectively and in a result-oriented way. This practice covers open source software, open data, open interfaces, and open innovation and collaboration models between companies and organisations.

We advise our clients for example in

  • the use and publication of open source, open data and open interfaces
  • procurements, and participation in procurements, related to open technologies
  • the implementation of business models
  • creation of open source policies and other open source compliance
  • setting up collaboration models, negotiations and governance (also in relation to the Association Act).

HH Partners’ Open Technologies practice currently consists of five persons: Head of Open Tech, Partner Martin von Willebrand, Partner Miika Erkkilä, Attorney Henri Tanskanen, Associate and Legal Tech Developer Mikko Murto, and Associate Toni Päärni. The practice may from time to time also include a rotating Open Source Compliance Trainee.
