Arto Kukkonen

Partner, Attorney-at-law

Arto Kukkonen is a Partner and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HH Partners. He has been practising law for nearly 30 years.

Arto advises domestic and international companies especially on contract law and corporate law related issues. He also represents clients in both domestic and international arbitration proceedings as well as in domestic and cross-border litigation cases in public courts. In addition, Arto has acted as an administrator in dozens of restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. Arto was the first Finnish lawyer to represent his client at the European Court of Justice.

Arto has acted as the sole arbitrator and as a member of the arbitral tribunal in numerous arbitration proceedings, as well as in share redemption proceedings conducted under the Finnish Limited Liability Companies Act.

Prior to joining HH Partners in 2001, Arto worked at Heikki Haapaniemi Attorneys-at-law Ltd as an associate in 1988–1991 and as a partner in 1992–2000.
